CMMS Case Study at Łosoś Ustka

Przetwórstwo Rybne Łosoś (Łosoś Fish Processing) is a company with over 70 years of history, dating back to 1954 in the port of Ustka. After years of dynamic change and development, the company relocated operations to a modern facility in Słupsk, where it continues to produce high-quality fish products. The company produces both traditional canned fish and a variety of processed fish products for its own brands and for its trading partners.

With the expansion of production, the growing scale of operations, and the growing number of technical processes, the need arose to better organize work and streamline internal operations.

Implementation Goal

The goal of implementing the CMMS system was to provide the organization with a coherent maintenance management tool by providing access to a team of users, streamlining technical resource records, and enabling the independent development of a database of machines, documentation, and spare parts.

The project involved supporting the planning and execution of service tasks, inspections, and repairs, implementing a digital parts warehouse associated with specific machines, and streamlining the handling of failure reports and a reminder system for planned preventive maintenance.

Another important element of the implementation was the remote launch of the system, along with training based on instructional materials, so that users could independently use the solution in their daily work.

How did the CMMS system help?

The CMMS system met the established requirements for technical resource records, inspection and repair planning, spare parts inventory management, and troubleshooting. A key element of the implementation was also the standardization of the notification process in an intuitive manner for production employees, which facilitated the ongoing reporting of technical issues.

The solution enabled tracking of task status, verification of their correct execution, and the use of checklists to support audit preparation. This provided the maintenance department with greater process transparency, better control over service work, and a consistent tool to support quality assurance and operational compliance.

,,A particularly important element for our company is the maintenance and confirmation of the hygienic condition of the workstation immediately after repairs. The hygienic condition confirmation functionality in the CMMS system, based on the simple mySupport interface, supports compliance with HACCP standards and rigorous food industry standards.”
